Who we are

NemaLED is a Canadian business-to-business distributor of certified industrial and hazardous-location LED lighting. We operate the website nemaled.ca. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the site, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.

Information you provide to us

When you submit a quote request, contact form, or resource request, we collect the information you enter: your name, company, work email address, phone number, and the project details you describe (such as facility type, dimensions, mounting heights, and current fixtures). We also keep the emails you send us.

We ask only for what we need to answer you and to prepare an accurate quote or lighting plan.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and security infrastructure records technical data about each visit: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, approximate region, and request timestamps. We use this data to protect the site against bots and abuse and to understand overall traffic patterns. These technical logs are kept for approximately 30 days.

Cookies and advertising measurement

The site uses essential cookies for basic functions such as remembering your language preference and protecting forms against automated abuse.

If you reach our site from one of our advertisements, we may use Google tools (Google Tag Manager, Google Ads conversion tracking, and remarketing) that set cookies and collect a click identifier. Where the law requires it, these tools run only with your consent. We use this measurement solely to know whether our advertising works and to show relevant ads to past visitors. You can manage how Google personalizes ads at adssettings.google.com.

Google user data and our internal tools

NemaLED uses internal tools that connect to Google services (such as the Google Ads API) through Google sign-in. These tools access, use, and store only the data of NemaLED's own Google accounts — for example, our own advertising account's keywords, statistics, and campaign settings — with the authorization of the account owner. They do not access, request, or store Google user data belonging to any other person, and nothing obtained from Google APIs is sold or shared with third parties. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

How we use your information

We use personal information to respond to your requests, prepare quotes and lighting plans, send the documentation you ask for, communicate with you about products and projects, improve the site, protect it against abuse, and measure our advertising. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to the ones described here.

Sharing and hosting

We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf: website hosting and security, email delivery, analytics, and advertising measurement (Google). These providers may store or process information outside Quebec and outside Canada, including in the United States. We use established providers that apply appropriate contractual and security safeguards.

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Quote requests and business correspondence are kept as commercial records. Technical server logs are kept for approximately 30 days.

Your rights

You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Write to sales@nemaled.ca and we will respond promptly.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Commercial email

We send commercial electronic messages only with your consent or as otherwise permitted by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation. Every commercial message we send includes a working unsubscribe mechanism, and we honour unsubscribe requests promptly.

Security

The site is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to personal information is limited to the people who need it to serve you, and the site is protected by bot and abuse detection.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. If we make a significant change, we will make it clearly visible on this page.
